Arkansas Craft School Fundraising Gala November 19th

Arkansas CraftSchool announces a Fundraising Galaset for Saturday November 19, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Skillet Restaurantat the Ozark Folk CenterState Park.  TheGala will feature dinner, a wine tasting, live music featuring the band Handmade Moments, silent and live auctionsof hand-crafted items to benefit the School’s scholarship fund, a rafflefor a hand-crafted wooden rowboat, and door prizes.

    Anna Horton, Joel Ludford and Nick Caffrey are the three members of Handmade Moments, a trio of youngmusicians who are all students at the University of Central  Arkansas. They play guitar, upright bass,ukulele, keyboards and saxophone; and specialize in jazz standards andoriginals.   

    Live and silent auctions will feature artistic creations by some of the Arkansas Craft School’smost talented instructors, students, and supporters.  Just in time forChristmas shopping, bidding for these hand- crafted works of art will begin ata fraction of their normal retail price.  Christmas shopping just goteasy…..find the perfect gift for that special someone!  The Arkansas Craft Schoolprovides scholarships to students who would otherwise be unable to attend dueto financial restraints; the auction provides a way for these students to givesomething in return.  Proceeds from the auctions will directly benefit thescholarship fund.
