Arkansas Tobacco Free Kids Day

In recognition of Kick Butts Day, the Arkansas Youth Leadership Initiative (AYLI) is hosting the 8th Annual Arkansas Tobacco Free Kids Day Silent March.

Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco. Across the country, schools/teachers, youth leaders or health advocates are organizing events to raise awareness of the tobacco problem, encourage youth to stay tobacco-free and urge strong action to protect kids from tobacco.

Arkansas Tobacco Free Kids Day will be held at the Arkansas State Capitol beginning with a silent march down Capitol Avenue on the 18th of March. (The event flyer and agenda are attached). In addition, school transportation for the Arkansas Tobacco Free Kids Day March will be paid for by the event sponsors.

It is the 20th Year for KICK BUTTS DAY! We will be celebrating in a MAJOR way. We’re excited about the National event, and about what the future holds for us in the State of Arkansas as it relates to PREVENTION efforts! Whether it is alcohol, tobacco and/or drug prevention, what is key is that we are all working to ensure that our youth are healthy, informed advocates for change of the future. So, please mark yourcalendars and join us in this annual demonstration of our ongoing commitment to healthy, drug free schools and communities.
