The interview program hosted by Timeless 106.1 KFFB’s General Manager Bob Connell featured US Senator John Boozman talking about:
National Police Week the Senator delivered a speech on the Senate floor in recognition of Arkansas Law Enforcement. Honoring those who gave their lives in the line of duty and adding their name to the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial in Washington, D.C. This year the name of Stone County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Michael Stephen Sr. was added to the memorial.
The Senator’s visit to the White House about flexibility in the use of CARES Act funding designated for states, Arkansas got $1.25 billion. The Senator and members of the congressional delegation announced $8 million in funds to assist low-income families with energy costs in Arkansas.
The Senator also serves on the Congressional Task Force for Reopening America. The senator participated in a meeting earlier this week. The group is working to reopen the country in a safe way that protects the health of citizens and supports businesses and the economy.
