Conservative small business owner and Republican Nominee for Lieutenant Governor issued the following statement Wednesday:
“I commend Governor Beebe for opposing the proposed fee increase on camping and lodging at Arkansas State Parks. Last week, I spoke out against this “vacation tax” because, in my opinion, it would not increase business in our state parks, nor would it help the working families of Arkansas. As I have said before, I believe that in tough economic times, government should follow the example of its citizens and learn to live with less when necessary. Several months ago, I signed a No Tax Pledge and I remain committed to that.”
