A multi-agency investigation has resulted in the arrest of six individuals and authorities are seeking two more to face charges.
On October 20, 2010 agents with the Twentieth Judicial District Drug Crime Task Force, DEA, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Highway Police and the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, served an arrest warrant on Rolando Garza, age 25, of 172 Durham Court in Van Buren County. During a search of the residence, agents located approx 33 grams of cocaine, scales, and several fake identification documents. In addition to Garza, agents arrested Desiderio Solon, age 21, Inocencio Estrada, age 33, and Betuel Barrayas, age 20. These defendants were living at the residence and are in the US illegally from Guatemala. Each of these individuals have been charged by Twentieth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver.
Agents also served an arrest warrant on Rodolfo Melendez, age 25, at his residence at 231 Hape Road in Van Buren County. Melendez has been charge by Vaden with Delivery of Methamphetamine. Agents also arrested Michael Cassidy Mallaney, age 27, who has been charged with 2 counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine. In addition to the six individuals, agents are seeking Randall E. Passmore, age 29, and Francisco Reyes Zambrano, Jr., age 43, for one count of Delivery of Methamphetamine each.
