SUMMARY:Opening Ceremony Stone County Sesquicentennial
DESCRIPTION:Stone County turns 150 years old Friday\, April 21\, 2023. Opening Ceremonies will be held at 1:00 p.m on the Courtsquare in Mountain View. The history of Stone County will be presented by representatives of the four counties that formed it. Izard\, Independence\, Searcy and Van Buren. It will be followed by a Walking Tour of Mountain View. Friday Evening at 6:00 pm will be music by Pam Setser and Mary Parker\, hot dogs\, and a history of One Room Schools. Saturday. Music on the square from 11:00 to 4:00 pm 12:30 One Room School driving tour begins at the Stone County Museum\, 206 School Ave.\, Mtn View. Sunday – Gospel Singing at 2:00 pm at Big Springs Church in Newnata.
