Ozark Folk Center Presents Tribute to Grandpa Jones Sept 2-3

The Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas is celebrating its 2011 Tribute to Grandpa Jones by bringing The Whites on September 2nd and The Quebe Sisters Band on September 3rd at 7:00 p.m.

Joining the celebration of Grandpa Jones’ remarkable career, on both nights will be Ramona Jones and Family. The Whites, Sharon, sister Cheryl and father Buck -has the power to bring audiences together in a feeling that resembles that of one giant, extended family.  “There’s nothing like playing music to bring a family together,”

For those who have heard The Whites before, that’s good news indeed – and for those who haven’t, it will be an exciting introduction to a rich, yet comfortable musical experience.

The Quebe Sisters made a great impression when they were here two years ago, and the Folk Center is pleased to have them here again this year.  When Grace, Sophia and Hulda Quebe (pronounced kway-bee) take to a stage to play and sing their vintage-style three-part harmony, audiences are mesmerized. Reaction is the same wherever the Fort Worth-based group goes.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.  Call 870-269-3851 to purchase tickets.
