Sign up for classes at The Ozark Folk Center to Make it a Handmade Christmas Registration Deadline Nov 18

Mountain View, Arkansas – – Are you looking for a new way to create handcrafted holiday gifts?

Give yourself the gift of a new skill and learn to make gifts that your friends and family will treasure. This November, the Ozark Folk Center is offering you a chance to learn how to bring back the good old-fashioned Christmas. Get away to Mountain View, Arkansas November 19-22 and learn how to make Ozark heritage crafts in your own style.

During our Handmade Christmas Folk School there will be classes on:

· Candlewicking Embroidery Ornaments

· Chandling 101

· Stained Glass Christmas Tree Suncatcher Class

· Reed Basket Weaving

· Tatting, traditional lace making

· Make it a Tinsmith’s Christmas

· Old World Santas

· Basic Letterpress Printing

These are small, comfortable, fun classes where you get to learn hands-on. The maximum number of students in any class is five. Registration deadline for all Handmade Christmas Folk School classes is Nov. 18. Call 870-269-3851 to register for classes or for more information.

The mission of Ozark Folk Center State Park is to perpetuate, present and promote the Ozark way of life in an educational and enjoyable manner; through craft demonstrations, musical programs, the Heritage Herb Garden, workshops and other special events.
