The T Tauri Movie Camp, which offers video production workshops for kids and teens every summer, will celebrate its 11th anniversary this year. Each year, the program culminates in a Finale Screening of all of the work created at Movie Camp that year. This year’s Finale takes place on Saturday, July 25 at 7:00 PM in Independence Hall at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, 2005 White Drive. The Finale Screening is free and open to the public.
Videos to screen this year will include the works produced in this year’s Music Video, Depicting Zombies, Stop Motion Animation, and Script to Screen workshops. The program will also include some of the winning videos in the AETN Student Selects competition. The Student Selects videos were produced in high schools throughout Arkansas. The program provides an opportunity for the public to view some outstanding media produced by aspiring young Arkansas filmmakers.

The T Tauri Movie Camp is supported by the Arkansas Arts Council, the Independence County Recreation Fund, and First Community Bank. Suddenlink and Citizens Bank provided additional support for Movie Camp scholarships. “T Tauri” is the astronomer’s term for a new star.
